Introduction about drying oven
Even robust instruments can encounter issues. If an oven is not reaching temperature, check the setpoint, the power supply, and the condition of the heating elements. Non-uniform drying often points to a failed fan in a forced-air model or an obstructed air vent. Significant temperature overshoot or cycling may indicate a failing temperature sensor or a need for PID controller tuning. A door that does not seal properly will lead to heat loss and poor performance.
Many digital models have diagnostic error codes. Regular preventive maintenance, as outlined in the manual, is the best way to prevent these problems. For complex electrical or control issues, service by a qualified technician is recommended.
