*Note:NuOven C31-I/C72-I/C101-I/C150-I/ C252-I has10-segment temperature control program to realize temperature curve program running.
A key term in quantitative drying procedures is "drying to constant weight." This is not a set time but a state achieved through iterative weighing. A sample is dried for a specified initial period, then removed, cooled in a desiccator (to prevent moisture absorption from air), and weighed. It is then returned to the oven for an additional period, cooled, and weighed again.
This process is repeated until the difference between two consecutive weighings is less than a defined threshold (e.g., 0.1%). This ensures that all removable moisture is truly gone, as different samples dry at different rates. The oven's consistent performance is vital for this method, as any fluctuation could lead to misleading weight measurements.
