Introduction about drying oven

The PID controller is the brain ensuring temperature precision. The "P" (Proportional) term provides power relative to how far the current temperature is from the setpoint. The "I" (Integral) term sums past errors over time to eliminate any persistent offset. The "D" (Derivative) term predicts future error based on the current rate of change,damping the system to prevent overshoot.

Together, these three actions allow the oven to approach its setpoint quickly and then hold it with remarkable stability, unlike a simple on/off thermostat which causes constant temperature cycling. Properly tuned PID parameters are essential for the fast recovery time after the door is opened and for the uniform results labs depend on.
