Introduction about drying oven
While versatile, drying ovens have material limitations. Plastics with low melting points, certain rubbers, and other heat-sensitive polymers cannot be processed. Items containing large volumes of volatile, flammable solvents pose a severe fire and explosion risk and should never be placed in a standard oven; a dedicated explosion-proof oven or a vacuum oven is required.
Some materials may off-gas corrosive fumes when heated, which can damage the stainless steel interior or electronic components over time. It is the user's responsibility to understand the thermal and chemical properties of what they are drying. Consulting the oven manual and relevant material safety data sheets (MSDS) is a critical safety step before loading any sample.
