Working Principle:

Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) is defined as the amount of dissolved oxygen consumed by aerobic microorganisms in water. When a sample is placed in a incubator at 20°C for five days, the BOD value of the water sample is determined by measuring the amount of dissolved oxygen consumed during the incubation period.
